American Hustle


Good morning everyone! Today I have a trailer. I don't really know what I think about this one. I've been sitting on it for a couple days trying to decide if I want to blog it or not. Obviously, I decided to go for it! The trailer is for a movie called 'American Hustle'.

The cast is so eclectic! Jenifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Jeremy Renner. They are all so good in such different ways! Cooper, Bale, Renner, and Lawrence I absolutely adore! Just thinking about them all on screen together makes me want to squeal like a teenage fan-girl. Frankly, the idea of them all together just seems like a massive, glorious, charisma bomb.

Let's take a look at the trailer now.


It just looks so well done! I can't help myself! I definitely see potential for failure in that trailer but I also see potential for fabulous greatness! I don't know which way it will go. I do know that I was similarly apprehensive about 'Silver Linings Playbook' but I was more than happy with it. (review here) I guess that means that the director has a little good credit with me. Hopefully he wont disappoint me.

The main thing is that the trailer doesn't really give you much of an idea on the plot. That's, honestly, a really nice thing. I despise trailers that spoil everything good in a movie. That being said, I have little to no understanding of the storyline other than that there are crooks and I assume its set back in time. Maybe the 70's? In the end, I'm curious, and that usually leads me to watching the movie.

So there you have it! A movie to ponder over. I'm hopeful for greatness but who knows. Flops happen. One thing I do think is that 'American Hustle' will be one or the other. Amazing or terrible. What do you think it will be?

    A very weird trailer. Hmmm......well, it'll be interesting to see what comes of this one.

Kumea

Kumea (Koo-may) was a little girl. She was the age of ten and always wore pigtails clasped with a bright blue ribbon. Every morning Kumea woke up early, with the sun, and helped her mother tend to the rice farm in beautiful Japan. This farm year was different than all the others. The rice paddy was a sickly brownish yellow instead of bright lush green, and at night she would hear her parents talking about how the emperor would take their farm away if the weather didn’t change. DISNEYLAND 2007!!!!!

This last week, May 13 through 17, I was in Disneyland, California! We flew into John Wayne airport and settled into our hotel room in time to see a WONDERFUL fireworks show out our window above Disneyland! Early the next morning we used our early admittance tickets and entered the park an hour early! That was a fun filled day as we hit every ride we wanted including The Indiana Jones ride three times, The Pirates of the Caribbean ride two times, and many others! We were fortunate that they opened Splash Mountain the day we arrived when we had read that it would be closed, a happy surprise! Another Happy surprise was seeing crewmen setting up the set where Pirates of the Caribbean will Premiere, on May 19. The next day we went to Disney's California Adventure where we enjoyed Elevators that dropped ten floors (we rode that twice), and many very very fast roller-coasters! We ended this day with a water rafting ride that COMPLETELY drenched my Mom... hilarious. : ) All in good fun. O...
