A Little Step into My Head

Happy Saturday everybody! Today I have a trailer for a suspense/thriller/drama. 'Prisoners'. Let's watch. Now, I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this one. Frankly, if they have something garish happen to small children I'm out. If they are just trapped somewhere, I'll be fine. If they are tortured in any way then no, not cool Hollywood! It looks like they are going to have a lot of moral dilemma's. How far are you willing to go to rescue your children? Most parents will say that they will do anything for their kids, but to they mean it? I think this movie will be interesting, and very emotional. I absolutely love the idea of Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Terrence Howard all in the same movie. I am very excited to see how they work off of each other. Hello all! Today I am going to be looking at the forthcoming X-Men movies. If you have been watching this franchise over the last decade you will know that A: There are a lot of them, and B: They have spanned centuries and have even managed two sets of actors to play the same characters at different ages, for some and not all the X-Men. Well, as if five movies wasn't enough there are two more in production right now. They are set for release in 2013 and 2014. Also, they are both sequels (ish) to the two different plot lines they have running. By sequel, they may just be set immediately after the previous installments because they were pretty well wrapped up when we left them. First out the gate will be 'The Wolverine'. This movie is said to be set after 'X-Men: The Last Stand' or in other terms, modern day. Wolverine, AKA Hugh Jackman, is going to travel to Japan to train with a Samurai. My first reaction to this was, "Really??? That's so cheesy!!"...

The time has come to review 'Les Misérables'! This movie is expansive and beautiful. It's a true  epic. As we all know, this 2012 version is a musical. Everyone has a different opinion of musicals and their  tastes vary greatly on the subject. This musical is the kind where they sing  everything . No, I don't mean they burst into song every few moments after a snippet of dialogue. I mean nearly every, single, word is in song. I found this complete musical immersion very enjoyable! That, paired with the fact that the songs were sung live by the actors, (as opposed to in a studio and lip syncing) made every moment heart-wrenchingly emotional. Watching the characters fight back violent sobbing to sing the songs of woe makes the whole thing more real and relatable. While we're on the topic of the music, every song was amazing!
